Dr.-Ing. Holger Claus is in charge of the activities Digital Testing and Data Handling in the field of Perception at the area Autonomous Drive, Daimler AG, and holds a manager position in that topic. He received diploma degree in mechanical engineering from University of Stuttgart, Germany in 1997. In 2003 he achieved the Dr.-Ing. at the University of Stuttgart, Germany.
He started his career at the Mercedes Technology Center of Daimler AG at Sindelfingen in 2002, where he conducted digital simulations of vehicle and chassis dynamics with focus on passive and active suspension systems. Later, he coordinated the development of suspension components of passenger cars of C/E-class and A/B-class at Mercedes. After that, he turned back to lead a team on the field of digital simulations of vehicle and chassis dynamics (including HiL-simulations) as well as the respective chassis components dynamics, at the Mercedes Research & Development Center at Bangalore, India.
