Dieter Hoetzer was named VP of system development, automated driving for Robert Bosch GmbH in 2017. In this position, Hoetzer is responsible for the system development and competence built-up of the company’s L1-3 systems based on radar-, video-, ultra-sonic and lidar-based technology.
Hoetzer joined Bosch in 1999 as project leader for the development of driving strategies for hybrid drive train systems. In 2003, Hoetzer became manager, working on future driver assistance functions. Since then he held several management positions in engineering and product management in the US and Germany.
